Show , A Conductor Accidentally Kills i Tramp. Ou Saturday morning Conductor Sherman, running a freight train on the Kansas City, bt. Joo and Council Blufla railroad, unintentionally un-intentionally killed u tramp who was stealing a rido on the train. After the train had left Watson, Missouri, lie was looking at a revolver, which he wished to try, and for that dut-pose dut-pose stepped to the front platform ol the caboose and fired the revolver into in-to the roar end of the box car, wliic'a was coupled ahead. He supposed tho car to be entirely empty, but it unfortunately con taint d a nameless tramp who was stealing a ride. The bullet penetrated the car and struck tho tramp in a place, inilicting a wound hum which lie died eoou after. It w.iB a bloody tragedy, but it w.? proven to be pu ely an accident on the part of the conductor. The body j of the unfortuualetramp was decently buried by the railroad men. |
