Delegates Jrom Georgetown say that rather than have a consolidated consoli-dated government for tho entire district, dis-trict, they prefer the rr-troce&rion of the territory of Georgetown to Maryland. Mary-land. Senator Spencer has prepared two bills for the government of the district. One fixes the relations of the United States government to the district, and provides for its government govern-ment by a board of supervisors and council. The other provides for an ordinary municipal government, with jurisdiction over the entire district. |
