Edilois Herald: A meeting, of ihe citizens of St. Georgo was hcid in the court licuso, October 21th, 1876, at 7 pin,, to ratify the nomination ot the lion. George Q. Cannon, as delegate to congress; M. P. Rcmney, chairman of the Washington county central j committee, presiding. Prayer by Elder David H. Cannon. i The chairman stated tho o'fjeet of. the meeting. It was Jtcsolccd, That the action of t'nc territorial convention in nominating Hon, George Q. Cannon as delegate to congress be ratified and approved 1 of by the citizens of St. George, and that they agrseto vote for said candidate candi-date at the coming November election.- ( Stirring and patriotic addresses were then delivered by Judge Win. Saow, John D. T. McAllister, Ule Perkins, James Harvey aud A. F. McDonald. The laws on voting were then read by the secretary. The resolutions ol I of the territorial convention instruct-1 ing tee delegate te congress, were ', adopted by the meeting. A vote of thanks was tendered to the Martial baud.
