The Panama Star, 29th, aays Die Peruvian congress the other day, passed a law positively posi-tively prohibiting the importation impor-tation of manufactured articles or natural products of Chili into any ports of the republic. Breadstuff must be imported from points thousands thous-ands of miles away. The effect of this law will be to create reprisals on the pari of Chili. Sugars of Peru, which now find a close and ready market in the neighboring republic, will be compelled to seek more distant countries. A. Olement, who established a hotel in Panama, in the early days of Cali-fornian Cali-fornian emigration, died there on the 25th. Panama, Oct, 28.
