Show The Dudley Trial. At the opening of the court on Friday Fri-day morning Judge Tilford began his argument for the defenee. Itoocupied two hourB in delivery, and was de-voled de-voled to an analysis of the testimony of ihe prosecution aud of their oase. He also made a number of legal points and reverted Bomewh&t to the testimony of the defense, but did not go into it at any length. The address was delivered with that force and elcquence that characterises all the efforts of Judge Tilford. At tbe conclusion con-clusion of bis argument the usual noon recess was taken, and upon re-; re-; assembling Judge Williams commenced com-menced his address on the part ol Ihe defense. He gave a very thorough review of all the evidence and that of each wituess, and sifted tho matter in a most exhaustive manner. Before he concluded his argument the daily adjournment was taken until 9 o'clock on Saturday morning, when tbe speech will be concluded. It is expected ex-pected that about half an hour more will be cunsumed by Judge Williama, Judge VanZile will then conclude, expecting to occupy about two and a hall hour-. |
