Show Miss Clawson's Benefit. The benefit last evening to Miss Dolho Clawson was decidedly a success. suc-cess. The opening piece, "Little Treasure," a very pretty comedy, was excellently well performed, the parts of Gertrude, by Dellie Clawson, Lady Florence Howard by Miss Walters, and Mrs. Meddleton by Mrs. Belle Douglass, being uncommonly well rendered. The Misses Georgie Clawson Claw-son and MissMinnie Ellsworth deserve the highest encomiums for the taste and eflective manner in which they sang the duel, "Minnie Hear liio Blue Bird Sing' Miss Louie Wells aiao acquitted he;self admirably in the song of " Nora Darnm;." The scene from "KingJolm" was excellent, ex-cellent, especially the part of Prince Arthur, by tho favorite child, Miss E iith Clawson. Mr. Margetts in the part of Demosthenes Dodge, Esq., was simply immcusc, and the audience au-dience went away fully satisfied with their night's amusement. ' |
