be found to make possible the operation of a steel plant the mill and aid the mines to supply it will employ several thousands of men and will take care of share of the iron and steel trade of the by mr air clapp and his corps of civil engineers en 0 bleers who made a thorough survey su arvey of the colorado river basin for the pur pose of constructing a railroad to run diagonally from denver to san diego 1 the area of the basin is square miles all ut which was charted and sur keyed although the railroad is projected through ai a country that has heretofore been looked upon as a valueless wilderness the report shows not only that the i railway is entirely feasible and that thaties its international importance will make it one of the most im por taLt if not the most important
