Show FIGHT FOB AN OLD GUN. There is a fight between Ruber's and Princeton colleges, New Jersey, in regard to an ancient canon, said to have beeu left in the grounds of Kut-ger's Kut-ger's college, New Brunswick, by the 55th British regiment in January, 1777. About thirty years ago the Princeton boys stole the old gun and removed it to Princeton, and the possession pos-session has been ever since a question of rival.-) between the two colleges. Seven or eight years ago it was recap-1 -turcd by the liutger's boys, who, however, held it only three days, wheu it was recaptured by a large delegation from Princeton. Uceeiuly, Rutger's again rallied, and capturul i a guu from the Princeton grounds, ! which is now said to be the wrong ! gun, and a letter has beeu addressed by Dr. McCosh to lr. Campbell, de- manding the gun, and legal proceed-1 inga have been commenced.
