Show the water being frozen. It is more than likely, however, that the works will be put in operation again within the next few days. Work has again been started in the Rawlings mine, which is situated east of the Utah property; and from ten to twelve tons, daily, of good, carbonate carbon-ate ore, is being shipped. It is not improbable that tho Rawlings will change hands ere long.as negotiations for its sale are pending. Thirty tons of ore a day are being removed re-moved from the Spanish mine, by thirty men. Work on the Nez Perces has been stopped, as the ore cannot be taken to the road. However, the tramway is approaching completion, upon which event work will be resumed, and the ore shipments be large. The BufTalo and Utah Mining company, com-pany, who own the Grey Eagle and other valuable Bingham mines, have commenced work on some of their properties under the immediate superintendence super-intendence of captain Beck. The Winamuck, tho "old reliable," is still sending forth its thousands in the Bhape of galena ores. Only about twenty men are now at work in the mine, but they are taking out large quantities of the precious metal. Tho company's Bmelter ia running exclusively exclus-ively on custom ores, those taken from the mine being sold to other parties. The Telegraph mine, located close to the Yosemite, is another property which is no longer of doubtful value. Mr. Winsor, the superintendent, is working fifteen men on a nine foot PERSONAL. Dr. W. Bredemeyer, mining engi-neer, engi-neer, returned yesterday from Bingham, Bing-ham, whero he has been on a flying visit. Mr. G. 8. Erb, the popular proprietor proprie-tor of the Union Depot hotel, Ogden, has gone east on a wedding tour. Mr. W. D. Roberts, of Provo, starts east this morning on business. Mr. James Campbell and bride are spending a portion of their honeymoon in Salt Lake. Mr. C. was formerly with tho Central Pacific atOgdcn, but ia at nresent suDerintendent of tho Paliaado and Eureka railroad. Mr. Al. S. Patrick took tho afternoon's after-noon's train yesterday for San Francisco. Fran-cisco. Mr. W. S. McCornick, of White A Mct'oruick, bankers, also started to the Pacific on a business trip. Hons. J. A. Young and B, Young, junr., were at Cove Creek Sunday evening, on their way from St. j George. |
