Show WATER REGULATIONS. To whom it may concern; Tbe present scarcity of water for the uee of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, for irrigating and household house-hold purposes, suggests that the greatest economy be exercised in the use of water by all persons supplied Irom the pipes of the City Water Works; Therefore, for the purpose of stopping stop-ping tho necdlesa waste of water and promoting uniformity in the use of water during the summer months, that no person may Bufior loss through tho waste or negligence of another, I, Feramorz Little, Mayor of Salt Lake City, by virtue of the authority vested in me by an ordinance entitled, en-titled, "An Ordinanos in relation to the Salt Lake City Water Works, and the supply of water Irom tho main pipes, and for other puiposeB," passed July 31st, 1877, do hereby establish tbe following regulations: First The Bupply of water to all fountains ia discontinued during the months of July and August, 1879. Second The sprinkling of lawns and gardens ia limited to lime, to be fixed aud regulated by the superintendent superin-tendent ol Water Works; which lime shall in no case exceed fifteen minutes sprinkling from one uozsile, of one quarter inch diameter, lo each 100 square yards, or fraction thereof, three times each week, during the nioulbB ol July and August, 1879.
