Show Metropolitan journalism is something some-thing immense. The New York World, regardless of expense, has laid a new pine floor to its composing room, an event which it deems ol sufficient importance to require the most elaborate editorial treatment. It publishes a congratulatory dispatch in Latin, purporting to come from the pope of Eome, with articles laudatory of its enterprise from the leading European journals. Perhaps it may be expected that its contemporaries contem-poraries should say something pleasant pleas-ant on this occasion, and we accordingly accord-ingly tender our sympathies.
