Show All Fools' Day. Yesterday practical jnkeB were frequent and lota of fun was had by the "boys" at the expense of odg another; but the best that came under our notice and one that created most amusement was the flaBk deception. A gentleman procured a small sized flask, had a hole bored in the bottom of it and handed it to a confederate for him to visit the saloons and liquor houses of the city. At each place the confederate told his story soid tithing ti-thing like this: "I want you to le me have a little liquor in this. I am going to take a bath and I want some to rub myself with when I'm through." The barkeepers took the vessel, inserted the tunnel, poured in the corn juice; but as the leak waa too palpable the filling was not a success. laugh at oaoh place followed, and the April fool joke was enjoyed by all who witnessed it. |
