Show Theatrical. f An association waa incorporated under the laws of the territory on the 1st inst., called the "Salt Lake Dra-' Dra-' matio Association,' with a capital stock of $75,000, being 1,503 shares, i at $50 per share. The object of the association is to manage and conduct a theatrical business in this city, for which purpose the shareholders have purchased the Salt Lake Theatre, with all tbe fixtures and appurtenances appurten-ances thereunto belonging, and have entrusted the business to a board of fite directors, consisting of the following follow-ing gentlemen: John Taylor, John Sharp, Joseph F. Bmitb, John T. Caine and H. B. Clawson. The directors have elected asomcersof the association for the ensuing year: President, John T. Caine; vice president, presi-dent, H, B. ClawsoD; secretary, David McKenzie; treasurer, James Jack. We learn that it is the intention of the directors to have tbe Theatre opened at an early day, and negotiations negotia-tions are now pending with an experienced ex-perienced manager at the present in the east, to come here with an efficient effi-cient company and piny regularly at leaat three nights a week. If this arrangement ia perfected it is expected ex-pected that all the available theatrical stars, and other firat class attractions : crossing the continent will be intro- i duoed in quick succession during tbe 1 theatrical season. i |
