Show THE LEGISLATURE. City Hall, Salt Lxe City, January 15, 1878, 1.30 p.m. the joint aessios. Pursuant to previous agreement, the assembly met in joiut session, the president of the council presiding. Tne chief clerki o' the council and house called the rolls of both boueea, and quorums of both bodies were aonounctd as present, when the president pre-sident announced the joint session ready for business. His Excellency, Gjveroor Emery, having arrived, accompanied by the committee appointed by both houses, then presented his mesaige, which he read and submitted with the accompanying accom-panying documents. Mr. Wright moved that 2,000 copin of the governor's meaiage, with accompanying documents, be printed in pamphlet form, for the use of the assembly, and otherwise. Carried. Mr. Preston, on behalf of the com mil tee appointed to make arrangements arrange-ments for public printing, stated thai the committee was not prepared lo report, and asked permission to make their report to the separate houses. On motion of Councilor Burton, the request of the committee was granted. On motion of Councilor W. V. ClufT, the joint session disiolved. COUNCIL.
