Show Skull Crushed. Yesterday afternoon a little son of Mr. Robert Condie, of the 8ixth Ward, met with a most unfortunate accident which may result in the child's death. As near as can be learned tbe little one was playing in tbe barn, when by some means it fell to the ground, a distance of some twelve feet. The back and upper part of the head struck on tbe leg of an inverted skillet or bake kettle, and enteied the bead. Dr. Hamilton, who was called in, found tbe skull fractured and the brain oozing out. He took out a piece of the skull, which was perhaps two inches in length and one in breath. It is possible possi-ble the child may live, though it is likely to die, the accident being of a most dangerous obaracter. |
