Councilor Harrington, chairman of the committee on judiciary, to whom ws referred C. F. 3, "a bill concerning concern-ing divorces," reported the same back, amended, and recommended its passage as amended. The amendments amend-ments were read, aud, on motion ol Councilor BnoFf, the report of the committee wan accepted, and the bill taken up on its second reading by sections, pending which, on mutiou ol Councilor 1'baiuber, it was recom mitted to the committee on iudiciarv. with instructions to priut seventy five copies. Councilor Baleigh presented 6. F. 12, a "bill to amend an act to regu at a procedure in civil cases," whicn was read, and on motion of Councilors, d. timitb, referred ta the committee On judiciary, with authority, if they deem it expedient, to print sevtuty-fis sevtuty-fis copies. Councilor Snow presented petition of James Lewis and 510other oiLizana of Kane county, asking that tbe county seat of said county be removed from Toquerville to Kanab, which was read, and, on motion ol Councilor Coun-cilor duff, was referred to the committee com-mittee on counties. Prayer by tbe chaplain. Mr Prrann nr pa mi ted the finan cial report of Sanpete county for the years 1876 7. Reterred. Mr. Spencer presented the financial report ol Sevier county for the years 1876-7. Referred. Mr. Spencer presented a bill, H. F. 9, "a bill to organize mining and manufacturing districts." Read first time and referred to the committee on irrigation and canals. Mr. Frr, chairman of the committee commit-tee on judiciary, reported back C. F. 4, with amendments. The amendments amend-ments were read and adopted. Mr. Farr reported the following: Your committee, to whom was rs-0. rs-0. F. Amendments read and accepted. Mr. Murdock presented H. F. 10, "a bill for an act to repeal section 388, title 9, compiled laws of Utah." Read first time and referred to the committee on judiciary. On motion of Mr. Carriugtoo, C. F. No. 2 was read the second time. On motion of Mi. Hatch, C. F. No. 2 was read tbe thiro time by ils title. On motion of Mr. Carrington, C. F. No. 2 was passed and ordered sent to the council for their concurrence in the amendments. Minutes called for and read. House adjourned until Monday, at 2 p.m. Benediction by the chaplain. |
