Show celebrated SIXTIETH WEDDING anniversary mr and mrs wm peck honored with a party at home of daughter at woods cross tuesday the sixtieth anniversary of the wedding of mr and mrs airs wm win peck was held at t the home of mr and mrs clarence eldredge eld redge oct 14 1913 3 air their children grand children and t great grand children made up the party one very pleasing in faatu feature of the affair was the return of their son elder R H peck who has been laboring in the british mission for the past twenty three months and was released a few weeks before his time was up in order to be present on the occasion elder thurgood 0 a missionary companion of elder pecks and mr morrell a very good friend of the elders in england za were also 0 guests bests the rooms were very beautifully decorated the parlor in yellow with yellow chrysanthemums and the dinin dining room in autumn leaves with red red carna eions delicious refreshments were served after which a very pleasing pro program ram was rendered consisting of songs speeches reci lations and an original poem also many old fashioned songs were very beautifully sung sung by miss carmen benson of salt lake and a number of piano selections by by mr mo morrell are 11 several photo photographs graphs W were ere taken take n of different groups and alto altogether n ether the day was one of rejoicing a day never to be forgotten ta otten mr air and mrs peck are unusually well for people of their years and although they endured all the hardships and trials incident to the early settlement of this country they feel that they have been abundantly blessed they have had a family of ten children seven of whom are living in they are 0 W peck and mrs sadie cannon of salt lake geo C peck of sugar city ida ray leo and frank peck of fielding utah and mrs erne effie P eldredge of woods cross they also have had 48 grand children and 19 great grand children |
