Show Flowing Well. Mr. Alexander Adamson, residing on the other side of the Jordan river, has been digging a well for some time past. The other day, while at a depth of forty feet, he struck a solid log ol wood, and at Hie same time a fine spring of water, which seemed to flow out of the log. Since that time it has baen const a u My rising, until it is now w.thin four feet of the top. The water is continually becoming higher and it looks as though a fl iwing well had been Btruek. Sbould this prove to be the case, it will Dt-cuiue ol incalculable value, ad, hy a tntliug expense that of sinking Wilis within h.ilf a hundred feet vast trnctd of aikali land can be reclaimed and continually con-tinually eupplied with water br irrigating irri-gating purposes. It seems almost too fortunate to prove true, but should it result as is desirable, Salt 1, ike will, indeed, in-deed, have cause for rejoicing. |
