Show 1 . - - j From A Girl. It iB my intention jto write about diflerent things. First, I a word to tbe boys, Mr. Editor. We !read so much about how "neat and Lidy" the girls ought to be about home. They must be careful to keep a fresh ribbon and a clean collar or else they are called "slovenly." Now, I am a girl, and I like to eee girls neat, but I would like some one to ,give the boya a word occasionally., j Who wants to see a boy with no suspenders sus-penders on and a portion ol his cloth-, ing half out of its place; his euirt : collar unbuttoned and turned down because it is "cooler that way?" bis boot lega fUppiuc every time he takes a step, etc., etc. ? Am I the only girl who ever noticed auch boys as these ? I have seen other girls' i brothers appear as I describe; I have no brothers. This carelessness in the boys seems quite as bad to me as it does to see a girl wear her morning wrapper in the afternoon. In rogard to deception, I would ask where is there a place in thia wide world where it iB not practiced ? But it is not beat to lose confidence in all because one or two have been "weighed in the balance and found wanting." |
