On Saturday night SherifT Rogers and City Marshal John Turner, at a late hour, succeeded in capturing a , horse thief named McGuinn. while in the act of driving ofl eighteen head of horses from Bullock's pasture in this city. There was two men engaged in driving ofl the stock, but owing to a storm raging at the time one of the thieves managed to elude the officers McGuinn was brought to town and locked up, and on Monday morning had an examination before Justice W. H. Dusenberry, and in default of bonds was committed to await the action of the grand jury. We understand th t McGuinn came by train to JProvo on Saturday, having been released from prison in Salt Lake city on Friday. Being a suspicious suspi-cious looking character tne officers were on the watch for him. l'rovo is not a very healthy place fjr thieves of any character. Utah county Times. NEW ADVERTISEMENTS.
