Weajald, corn 01 and an t at Fort Robinson, stales that thirty-five of the Cheyennes have been recaptured, recap-tured, including the three head chiefs Wild Hog, Crow and Le:t Hand, and the thirty killed. More are expected to be taken to night, aa the trailing IB good ana nvo companies aie out. Major Reno arrived to day aud the court of inquiry will begin its sessions on hia case on Monday. The court will partake oi Lbe nature of a grand jury,will hear all the evidence against Major Reno acd report to the authorities authori-ties at Washington, who will decide whether it merits proceeding by court martial. Wild Hog, Old Crow and Lett Hand, the bend men, are among tho recaptured. The dead bodies of Indians that have been brought into the post for burial number num-ber twenty warrioro, eight equaws and two children. Five Bcldiera were wounded, two of them, Privates Smith and Everett, have died, the others are not dangerously injured. Private Ferguson, who waa stabbed by Wild Hog, will recover. |
