Show Board of Trade. The Utah board of Trade met at T. R. Jones' bank, lost evening, for the transaction of further business. Tbe election of nine vice presidents was Ihe first item of business, and tbe choice rested on the following named gentlemen: James Scrime-geour, Scrime-geour, Alta City; E. P. Ferry, Park City; H, S. Lubbock, Silver Reef; J. F. Bradley, Bingham; J. E.Johnson, St. George; W. 8. Godbe, Frisco; Fred. J. Kiesel, Ogden and Corinue; E. W. Fox, Manti, aod Wm. Goodwin, Good-win, Logan. A number of tbe gentlemen elected to fill positions com municaled with the secretary, declining because cf a lack of time. They are as follows and their positions were filled by the gentlemen named: Geo. M. Scolt, firector, vice John Sharp, jr.;" H. C. Goodspeed, chairman of the committee commit-tee on agriculture and stock raising, vice Wm. Jenningi; J. F. Bradley, chairman of the committee on manufacture, manu-facture, vice H. Dinwoodey; Geo. A. Lowo, chairman ot the committee on transportation, vice James Sharp. C. R. Barratt was added to the committee com-mittee on manufacture. The above nominations were made by the board of directors on Tuesday evening and were duly ratified last night. The following resolution relative to the publication of a pamphlet was naRfipd hv thn hnarri nf HirAfltnrn fit a meeting on Tuesday evening, and the different offices have already been rotified to send in sealed bida: Resolved, That toe board will prepare pre-pare and publish a pamphlet on the resources and attractions of Utah, in this city; that the committee on publication publi-cation are hereby instructed to invito Bealed proposals, to bo opeued by the board at its next meeting lor publication publica-tion of said pamphlet, and also to engage an eDgraver if they think best, to do such work as can be done in lime 00 account of said pamphlet. There being no further business after the election of tbe vice-president and filling the vacaucies, tbe board adjourned without date, subject to tbe call of the president. |
