Show The Carbonate Sola. The negotiations which have been pending for several days past, looking to the transfer of the celebrated C-irbo-nate group of mines, Big Cottonwood, terminated yesterday, the valuable property parsing into new hands. The former owners were MtS3rs. John W. Kerr, Henry Wadsworib, John P. Lawson and J. C. Harkins, and Mr. Frank G. Brown and a New York party are the purchasers. The amount paid is not given, but $150,000 is con sidered a very just estimate. In the group are the Sailor Jack, Biker, Defiance and Carbonate, all being known under the title of the last named mine, and altogether constituting consti-tuting one of tne most valuable properties pro-perties in the Big Cottonwood mining district. Until early last spring the property bad been involved in a number of litigations but the title is now clear and perfect, and during the last Eummer, and up to the time of the transfer, the mines had been very advantageously worked under the receivership of Mr. L. W, Calbath. |
