Show The Outlook. Tbo prospects for lively times in the various mining districts iu the territory this season are exceptionally bright, and should they prove well-founded well-founded there is every rea30n to be lievo a revival will take place in all home industries. Iu addition to this, the new mining countries north will be compelled to lock principally in this direction for tbeir supplies, and as there is certain to be a stampede in that direction, a trade worthy of coubiderable attention is likely to be opened. Aaother important item in this connection is the fact that last year all the ores produced in those localities had to be shipped to Salt Lake for reduction, and as there are no facilities for reducing ores there, it naturally follows that the shipments of ore here will be continued the present pres-ent season, but greatly increased as the production of ore will be incomparably incom-parably grea'.er this year thau hist. And then add to all that has been mentioned abovo the fact that merchants mer-chants and business men have generally gener-ally ceaacd to complain of "dull times" which is a tacit admission of improved trade and the outlook is decidedly cheering. |
