Show "Piua i'ure." A very large audience assem b!eJ a', the theatre lait eveniug to witness the la:: performance of t'r.e "Pinafore," which was len-Urtd Mr. Young as a complimentary benefit. In all rfSDects this Ust performance was equal to the former and in tome particulars, surpassed it. There were numerous Lcuquets thrown on tbe stage, Miss Olsen and Mr. Jones, however, how-ever, being the favorites in that respect. Tbe Bingicg of Mrs. Carele? between tbe acts, was so well appreciated that ene was twice encored. The Udy has lest none of that sweetness of voice which makes it delightful for all to bear her, and ber manner of einging "Oh Loving Heart," and "She is Fooliog Thee" was such as to convince con-vince us that we have a lady vocalist that is second to none. Mr. Young, in hi "Vnnrv T.pp." whs also forced to come out a second time. Tbe glee by the Philharmonic was very finely rendered, and th whole entertainment entertain-ment was remarkably 6a tU factory with one exception that being the absence of tbe instrumental trio advertised. ad-vertised. No reason was assigned tor its omission and we wonder wherefore. |
