The petition was received aud the amount prayed tor ordered refunded. A petition waB received from W. H. George, representing that he earns his living by running a job wagon, for which tie lias heretofore paid bis license regularly, but owing to sickness sick-ness in his f.imily, aud his own illness, he is now unable to psy the amount and asked that it he remitted lor this year. Received and referred lo the committee on license. The committee to wlion wad referred re-ferred tbo account of the city mardhal for the month of December, reported that they found the expenditures mado by that officer to be neceesary and correct, and recommended that the amount culled for $262.82 be ;ip,iropriuied. Toe report was received and tbe amount appropriated. Consideration of the bill for an ordinance controlling the distribution of waters flowing into the city was then resumed, and pending such consideration con-sideration the council adjourned for one week. |
