Show The Fire KccorU. Stamford, 24. A large part of the village of Coacob, where Edwin Booth resided, burned last night. Po'tBville, 23. The Mount Carbon rolling mills, twenty-one miles south of Pottsville, burned this evening. It was owned by New York and Potts ville parties, and cost, including machinery, ma-chinery, $260,000. Not insured. The mill has been idle for two years. It caught fire from a passing locomotive. locomo-tive. An engine waB overturned while running to the fire, aDd the driver, Charles Fiaher, fatallv injured. in-jured. Pittsbarg, Pa., 24. the residence of Alexander King was oestroyed by fire this morning. The stable, containing con-taining ten head ot valuable blooded horses, was aleo destroyed. Among the horses burned were the well-known well-known trotters "Nellie Ellis," "Nettie" "Net-tie" and "Lady Alice. The loss is estimated at j7i),000. No insurance. Erie, Pa., 24. A fire, originating in Stranahan's block, Uniun Oity, Pa., this morning, destroyed property valued at $60,000. Chicago, 23. A South Bend -special says Notre Dame Citholic University is entirely burned down. The infirmary, infirm-ary, old men's home, inuaii! hull and Mimm's hall, adjoining, were also burned. No lives were luat. The loss iB estimated at $150,000 to $200,000. The insurance on the university building was $60,000. Tbe circulat library of 25,000 volumes, valued at $10,000, seventeen pianos and other musical instruments in the muaio hall were burned.
