| Show AN ORDINANCE an am ordinance licensing lic ensin 0 and regulating 1 the operation and main eminence elI nence of pool rooms billiard halls balls pin alleys bowling alleys or card tables in davis county coun tv state of utah the board of county commis corn mis boners of davis count county Y stat state L of utah ordains as follows section 1 that all those of an ordinance ot of davis county state of utah passed and approved by the board of county of said county may ath apos relating to pool rooms billiard hall balls pin alloys alleys or bowling alleys in condict with this ordinance are hereby re pealed to the extent of said con met and the following is substituted in lieu thereof section 2 it shall be ba unlawful for any person firm or corporation to operate conduct or keep for public use in davis county outside the limits of any city in said F county auy any billiard pool or card table ball pin or bowling alley or place where billiards biff lards pool or cards are played without first obtaining a license lic etise as laii t section 3 before the license shall be granted an application shall be filed with the county clerk of said county by the applicant stating staling the number and kind of tables or alleys to be licensed and the place of keeping 0 the same and upon payment tit to lo the county treasurer of the amount or amounts provided in section 4 of this ordinance the same being payable quarterly in advance a license may bo be bissu d to the applicant provided that no license shall be issued to any person firm or corporation until said license fee is paid provided further that no license shall le be granted for a shorter period than three months and provided f further urther that in no case iha 1 any license be granted 9 ranted for less than per year section 4 the amount of license required under ulder section 3 of this ordinance shall be as follows pool room or billiard hall ball fur each table per year 10 40 00 pin alley ball alley or bowling alley for each alley per quarter 1000 per year section 5 it shall be unlawful for any owner proprietor or person in charge 0 of any public pool room billiard hall ball pin alley card table ball alley or bowlin bowling ra I 1 alley within davis county or for any person acting or assuming to act for such proprietor to keep any such pool room billiard hall pin alley card table ball alley or bowling alley open or to permit any person to be within any of the places mentioned above between the hours of tn t n p m 0 of lf any dav dar and six a m of the following morning section 6 it shall be ful for the owner or manager rf of any pool or billiard room or pin alley card table or bowling alley or any of their employees to beep the same open on sunday or to alow allow liquor to be sold therein or to permit any minor or person under the age of 21 years to frequent or remain in the same or to lo permit any disorderly induct and the owner or keeper of the said hall ball or voa pool room shall place a sign in a conspicuous place on the main entrance to the ald eald as E id building 0 in which the said hall or pool room is located which shill read as fellows all persons parsons under 21 keep out section 7 7 1 every odist ow or manager 0 or oc any pool or billiard room or any pin tilley alley card talle lalle ball alley or bowlins bowling alley or any of oe their employees emilo violating ca any of th lh provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis demeanor section 8 the following fee shall be fixed for the tobacco li it cense or fee for the sale of tobacco acco in davis county utah per quarter yar 3 00 per year ar 1200 section 9 this ordinance shail shall lake effect on and after the loth day of january 1913 this date being not less than fifteen days after its pas passage sago passed I 1 this his day of december A D 1912 commissioners M whitesides john ford and david cook each and all voting aye M M RL whitesides chairman ol oc board of county commissioners of davis county utah seal A attest attest hyrum 0 pack I 1 county clerk |
