Show The Hunters. The Salt Lake hunters who recently left the city with a formidable array of weapons and a well-stocked magazine, maga-zine, returned on Sunday evening, from a successful hunt in the vicinity of Mr, Matt Taylor's ranch, north of Wasatch, on the Union Pacific. The party consisted of Messrs. S. S. Walker, Walk-er, M. H. Walker, Wm. Read, Geo. Howard, Bolivar Roberts, Chaa. Read, Ben. Sheets, W. W. Chisholm and a professional cook. Tho gentlemen aro anxious to swear before any court of competent jurisdiction, that they killed all the deer they saw, and seem to think that is a great feat. They don't appear to realize that a fellow could remain in town and do the j same thing. Of rabbits and grouso j but what's the use of Baying anything of that kind of game? There ia no necessity for going a hundred miles to slaughter such. However we are glad they are back, and safe, which may be looked upon as being next to a miracle when it is considered that all carried guns. |
