There were seven persons saved in a lile-boat from the steam barge Mcndola, which foundered found-ered on the west shore of lake Michigan, Michi-gan, on Thursday night. Thirteen were drowned. The story is related by another member of the crew who speaks in high terms of the conduct of the captain and other officers. The Mendola was valued at 530,000, not insured.
