Show Theatre, Last night the exciting drama of "Lucrctia Borgia" was presented and excellently well played. Miss Jean Clara Walters appeared to great advantage as the murderous heroine, and Mr. Sawtelle gave a careful rendering ren-dering of Gonnnro. The other parts were well sustained, and the piece appeared to give satisfaction. In the afterpiece, "Tho Fool ofjthe Family," Mr. Sawtelle, in consequence conse-quence of the sickness of Mr.Crosbie, volunteered to sustain the part of Zeb, which he played with a dash and vim which gave evidence of comic ability of no mean order. This evening, the popular drama "Caught in a Snare," nnd the great burlesque of "Pocahontas," forms the bill. It is unnecessary to say that these pieces constitute a strong attraction. attrac-tion. Friday night, benefit of Mr. J. H. Vinson, stage manager, "Quits" and the "Old Guard." The Camp Douglas Doug-las baud has volunteered and will furnish fine music. |
