Quorum present. , Mr. Young presented the petition of Joseph L, Ueywood and 113 others, praying lor a city charter for .Tang-witch, .Tang-witch, which was read and referred to the Committee on Municipal Corpor-, ations and Town Sites. I Communications, acknowledging the tender of the courtsies of the Council Chamber during the session, were received from Gen. Morrow, Chief Justice McKean, Attorney Gen. Snow and ex-Associate Justice lloge. Mr. Hooper gave notice that on Tuesday lie would introduce a bill for "An Act to prevent frauds and perjuries;" per-juries;" also a bill for ''An Act to provide pro-vide for the formation of corporations for public libraries, literary and scientific scien-tific institutions." Mr. Cat ne, agreeable to notice given on Saturday, introduced a bill for an "Act concerning fraudulent conveyances convey-ances and contracts," which, on motion, mo-tion, was referred to the committee on Judiciary. Mr. Harrington, chairman of the committee on Judiciary; presented a report from F. S. .Richards, the commissioner com-missioner appointed by the last Legislature Legis-lature "To select, arrange and compile, com-pile, with suitable index, marginal notes, and table of contents, lor publication, pub-lication, such laws of tho Congress of the United States as are applicable to or in force in this Territory," which set forth that the matter was arranged and ready for prin ing. The report was received anU ordered spread on the minutes. Mr. Caine gave notice that on Tuesday Tues-day he would introduce a bill for "An Act concerning the pruof and acknowledgement ac-knowledgement of conveyances and other instruments in writing, allecting real estate." Mr. Jennings, pursuant to notice, presented a bill for an act defining tbe qualifications of and the motto of selecting and summoning grand and petit jurors, which, on motion, was referred to the Committee on Judiciary, Judici-ary, . - Council adjourned till Tuesday.. : HOCSE.
