Show AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO DOGS. Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, that it shall not be lawful lor any person to 1 own or keep a dog within tho limita 1 of this City, without making application applica-tion 'to the City Kceorder lor that purpose, and shall pay lo said Recorder, Recor-der, for the benefit of the City, an annul an-nul tax of three dollar. The Recorder Recor-der shall register the applicant's name and a description of the dog and give to saiel applicant a certificate of registry. regis-try. Any person found violating this section shall bo liable lo a line iu any sum not less Hutu three nor more than ten dollars for each oifenco. Sec. 2. All dogs so registered, shall wear a suitable collar with the own-ner's own-ner's name or initials of the same inscribed in-scribed thereon, together with tho number corresponding with the certificate certi-ficate of registry, and all dogs found at large not registered and collared as aforesaid shall bo liable to be killed by any perdou. Sec. 3. Any female dog found miming at large while in heat, uhall be liable to bo killed, and tho owner or possessor thereof to a lino in any sum not exceeding lifteen dollars. Sec. 4. Any owner or possessor of a dog permitting or suffering the same to enter or bu in any place of : worship eluring tho public service, 1 shall be liable to a tine in any sum not exceeding live dollars lor each oflence. Sec. r. Tf anv owner or nnsaesKor of a fierce, dangerous or mischiev-dog, mischiev-dog, permit the same to go at largo, he shall bo liable to ba lineel for the first oflence in the sum of live dollars; for the Bcconel oflence the sum of ten dollars; and upon tho third conviction convic-tion for the like oflence shall pay filteen dollars, and the city marshal shall immediately cause saiel dog to be killed. The snid marshal ia hereby here-by authorized to cause the destruction, destruc-tion, of all dogs not registered according accord-ing to the provisions of this ordinance. Sec. 6. Any person who shall kill, or cause to be killed, any dog registered register-ed as provideel in this ordinance, without the consent of the owner or possessor thereof, or deprive a registered regis-tered dog of its collar, or put avcol lar on any dog not rrgisteml, shall he liable to a line in any sum nob exceeding ex-ceeding twenty-lived dlars. Sec. 7. Tliis ordinance shall take effect lrom and alter the first day ol April next. Sec. S. "An ordinance relating to dogs" parsed April 27th, lfyiO, be and the same is hereby repealed. DaniklH.
