Show What is That ? There ib one person in this world who has not been a fleeted by the Beecher case. Two persons, evidently strangers, got into ,m Erie car this morning, and sat down together. He was a man and she was a woman. She was forty and tat and pretty, and he was a youth of twenty-one, with a slight mustache. He had a New York paper, and the supplement fell down out of it. She began to look at it, and then asked him if she might not look at it. He said " Yea." By-and-by she said, "The case will soon be over." "What case," inquired the young man, with an innocent look. "W'y the Beecher case." ,;Vhat case is that, ma'am?" said the youth with the slight mustache. "Pshaw I" said she, ''the Tilton-Beecher Tilton-Beecher case." "Do say?" replied the innocent vnuth. " What did Beecher do to Tilton?" "Do? Done enough. Com he commit he with committed adultery." "Did he?" said he, with an innocent in-nocent look out of the window. "What in the world is that?"
