Show Out Again. We were pleased yesterday to have a call from Mr. Thomas Oakey, proprietor pro-prietor of the Excelsior Steam planing , mills, who was so severely injured by the machinery of the works three weeks ago to-day. It was his first trip up town, and proves that he is convalescing con-valescing rapidly, though his right arm, which was broken in two places and had the wrist pulled out, hasstill to be carried very gently in a sling. His friends will be gratified to learn of his condition. - We met Mr. Ben Hampton, also, yesterday, out enjoying the mild air and sunshine. He is still unable tc see with his right eye, but hopes ,thc sight is not permanently gone; a hope . in which we earnestly join him. |
