Show Scientific Lectures. j The second of Prof. Denton's course , of scientific lectures "The Forma- tion ot Metallic Veins" was listened: to last evening by another large audi- j ence. The subject, which is one of j especial interest, treating as it does ol the early forms from the radiate to the reptile, was presented in a scientific scien-tific though beautifully clear and sufficiently suf-ficiently simple manner.' This evenii'g tho Professor gives at the Institute the third lecture of his geological series, his 'subject being that most interesting section of scientific research "The Coal Period and the World's Tenants at that Time." The lecture commences precisely at half-past half-past seven. Although the lectures of the Course are prepared to form connected con-nected series, each one is independent indepen-dent and complete in itself, and can be listened to with pleasure and profit with or without the others of the Course. |
