Show The Chicago Tribune money article arti-cle of last Thursday evening says that on the previous day only one of the banks of that city reported any considerable con-siderable transactions, and they were owing to circumstances outside the general curernt of business. A similar sim-ilar state of affairs is reported in moat of the cities throughout the country. There is an abundance of money lying idle, but there either seems to be lacking the necessary confidence in business circles or the people have become too much impoverished to offer the proper encouragement to business enterprises. Whatever may be the reason of the general depression, depres-sion, however, there is no doubt of the fact, and many predict that the times will be no better until the political pol-itical affairs in Washington are revolutionized, revo-lutionized, j |
