Charles Francis Adams, the son of President John Quiucy Adanu, seems to be the most fitting person for that honor, and his name and services to the Union are now presented by his friends to the people of Massachusetts for consideration. consider-ation. His diplomatic correspondence with Great Britain, during the first years of the war which threatened to rend in twain the Union, won for him the admiration of every scholar and patriot. We hope to ace him honored hon-ored with that vacant chair in the Senate which only a great man can fill |
