Show Dried Peaches. Certain of our merchants were very anxious early in the fall to obtain dried peaches in large quantities, and offered seven, eight, and even nine cents a pound for the article. The California trade rushed in and undersold under-sold the Utah dealers, and now the country people, attracted by tne high prices advertised, bring their dried fruit here aud find tho market overstocked over-stocked and prices at a discount. The Utah dried peaches have been in demand on account of their superior flavor. They are generally sun dried, while the California fruit is furnace-dried, furnace-dried, and it is said that there is considerable con-siderable difference in favor of the former process. |
