Mr. Chaplin was well rc eiveil and enacted '.lie part of dpt. l'oynt gracefully and effectively. effective-ly. 'I'hc character of Lord Arthur was well sustained by Mr. Saw telle, and that of Beau Farintoshe by Mr. Lindsay. Miss Adams as Bella Marks was modest and unassuming and perti rmed the part in excellent Ltste and without the extra assumption assump-tion of over-wrought girlishuees exhibited ex-hibited by Miss Culville as Naomi Tighe. The piece was well received. To-night visitors to the theatre will have a huit opportunity this season to witness the performance ol thie popular play. |
