Show The Jaim Lvt evening Taio Ket-cbie, Ket-cbie, Uki Noki Ozawa, Uma Ketchie, Ti-z ? .irbro. Urns Ketehi.-. All Righr, and thi chief Muniagawa Gus?o Geero as per posters and programmes began their areat performances. Tha house, al'hmiith not crowded, was well filled, the brilliant gas lit up the whole house to the brightness of noonday, and all things promised well for the evening's entertainment. After the introduction of the troupe in hue, the boy prodigies, prodi-gies, Tazo and Uki, really but tic bits of children, cime forward with their wonderful bending, tumbling, semer- j sauking, and twisting. The ease and ' agility with which these little ones i rolled themselves into balls and contorted con-torted their limbs, was more than astonishing, and the delight of the audience au-dience found expression in repeated and continued applause. Tlie jugs' jug-s' ing, ball throwing, pagowa balancing, balanc-ing, the great basket act, the lighted candles, keen-edged swords, and fire eatiDg were all finely performed and at five minutes past nine the great sensation sensa-tion act, performed only by the chief with the beautiful All Right was to be giveo. The table lights (eight candles) cages, tree and other necessaries were brought forward, the ohief seated himself gracefully upon one end of the table, his slender legs gently swinging like the bended bougbsof a willow in the breeze, the Japs crowded about and all gazed anxiously upward. Silence reigned supreme. The awe stricken audience gazed upward also and as the minutes passed expectation was on tiptoe tip-toe to see what was what and where it was coming from. At nine eight nothing appeared, glances were still soaring upward. Nine ten, nothing. Nine fifteen, nine eighteen, nine nineteen, nine-teen, nothing. Nine twenty, the lights began to flicker, and at precisely nine twenty and a half this most prodigious, extraordinary, unequalled feat became manitcst in total darkness. In a word, in the twinkling of an eye, every gas jet ceased to burn, and the eight candles can-dles were the only light in tbo house. This eclipse was really a wonderful trick, surpassing any eclipse of the bud or moon we ever witnessed. Only tho chief performs it, with the assist ance of little All Right. To-day at the matinee and to-night at tho graod performance the house should be filled to overflowing. |
