Van Denberg had an engagement engage-ment to meet Mr. Snell on the evening of the 21 at; he and Mr. Biakroe were walkiog up and down on First Kast street, on that eveninz, for some time, waiting for Snell to cooie; that was about a quarter past eiht o'clock; ho met a dark compiexioned man, who looked witness closely in tho face; a few minutes alter he met the same man with another and shorter one; the prisoners pri-soners resembled the two meo he eaw; he saw Sued standing at his wagon a hort time after meeting the men and went to him; Snclt said he had been choked and robbed of iOOU; Snell get the money at Wells, Fargo & Co's banki Ct. Blakrose was with Dr. Van Den-berg Den-berg on Wednesday evening and saw the two men, but could not identify them; thought the prisoners resembled the parties. Airs. James Miller saw tho prisoners playing play-ing at faro early in the evening ot the 21st; Mitchell lost $0, but Mtllao quit even; the defendants had a little money left, but witness could not say how much. L. Doblman, of tho Stcck Board, testified that Miller gave him a roll of money to keep, on the evening of tho robbery, and ho, tbe witness, handed it to Kcaras ; didn't know how much there was ; this was between 10 and 11 o clock ; Mitchell was present at the time. Hero the prosecuting attorney asked that tho cac be continued until Snell could arrive from Spanish Fork.
