Fellow citizens: Let us rally beneath be-neath our standard, and send delegates dele-gates to the Convention, to help oi r fellow-citizens in the East to hasten the Car of Freedom, Kight and Justice Jus-tice to the very doors of Congress, there manfully to demand of our lawmakers law-makers our full and complete rights as citizens of this great Kepubiic. Our burdens and responsibilities arc the same as those of the Whites; hence we demand all our inalienable rights and privileges. This wc ask in the name of those brave Colored patriots pat-riots who have fought, bled and died for the independence and tlic preservation preser-vation of our common country. Our trusted President and heroic leader, General U. S. Grant, will surely use his influence as the Executive of the nation in our behalf, and aid our delegates in the work of securing the passage of the Civil Rights bill. Committee F. H. Grioe, Chairman.
