Mr. Baum is en route east and has dropped down here ia the interest of his firm. The hju-,- is one of the largest in the line on the Pacific Coast, carrying a heavy stock of very si perior goods, which are Bold at prices that defy competition ia that market. The firm are prepared to offer inducements to our Utah merchants fur a share of their trade, and we commend Mr. Baum to them as a reliable business man aud a gentleman whom it is a pleasure to know. Mr. M. F. Waller, Wal-ler, connected with the hou.se, accompanies accom-panies Mr. B. This gentleman has btfore visited this city in the interest of the firm. We regret to learn that Mr. W. B. Elibbard, of the W. U. Telegraph Co., has concluded not to visit Salt Lake until next month. The telegram announcing an-nouncing his departure from Cheyenne west was premature. |
