OCR Text DISTRICT COURT NOTES january 3rd ard trial of david harris resumed and defendant was further cross examined witnesses for the defense david daal d bweaver OW G weaver eaver mark P whitesides ellen weaver and may H adams were sworn and testified in rebuttal witnesses for the state testified as follows lavern ev ans and alma E simmons further witnesses for the defense in rebuttal were sworn and examined as follows daniel D harris and david harris the court then read bead hi his s in 1 j to the jury which re tired and later brought in a verdict 1 of acquittal session or of january ath case of the state of 0 utah vs J H was called and a jury empanelled empanel led as follows gilbert S hatch henry A cleveland lewis oviatt G C clantz james S arbuckle joseph 0 wood david L rice and silas sila s S burnham atty jobe P lyon was entered as associate counsel for the state witnesses for the state testified as follows ben goodwin lee chrismon geo 0 lee etta thomas and mamie J johnson Job january ath session the following witnesses also testified for the plaintiff stewart E norton and J A groesbeck january ath session case of marvin marvia L nichols ad litem laitem vs the kaysville Kays ville brick C co ordered that plaintiff be permitted to withdraw his bis motion to strike out defendant s answer and demurrer to same and that defendant be given ten days in which to answer case resumed fire witnesses testified for the state and the following witnesses were sworn and examined on the part of the defense frank navin and J H defendant was charged with the crime of buning an automobile to get the insurance by the verdict of the jury he was acquitted
