Show Letter from U.ynii. Washington, lo. A letter has been received in this city, by Gen. G. Y. Cook, an intimate friend of Gen. Ryan'-, dated Kingston, Jamaica, Oct. -3, just ns the Cuban expedition was going to start. Jt tells of a hurricane hur-ricane through which they passed sailing to Jamaica, and of the princely prince-ly hospitality bestowed upon them in Kingston, balls and parties beim; tiic onler. He declared himself "fat as a bull'' and wrote in the best of spirits. An inventory was made to-day of the effects in Washington of the late General. They include a Cuban flag and sword, presented him by the Cuban Junta of New York. |
