Show Prize Medals. Mr. O.L. Eiiason, watchmaker place of business nextdojr to tho Herald offiae, has a couple of prize medals received fro n the Dese-ret Dese-ret Agricultura and Manufacturing Society, which we examined last night with much gratification, as they are evidences that we h.ivo workmen here whose abilities are exceedingly well worth recognition: Tho first medal was received by him in IS59, and the second was received yesterday, both for making watohes, not putting them together. The last medal was for the eighth watch Mr. Eliasoo has made in this city. Of his ability as a workman one of the Herald proprietors can 9pek personally, as ho is wearing a watch every part ol the work of which was made by Mr. E. in this city. It is a straight line lever, stem-winder, and would command admiration for its excellent workminship in any watch manufactory in the world. |
