Aa tho street commissioner seemingly does not read the pipers, and evidently lias not been around in tho neighborhood where that particu lar hole is, the only way apparently by which his attention will bo directed to the matter, so that ho will remomber it, is by those suffering moat from the yawniDg nuisance petitioning the city council to have it abatod. The process pro-cess would be a tedious one compared with the amount of labor required to "mend the matter," but what else can be done ! |
