Show COUNTY COURT NOTES county commissioners had several road clatters batters to consider at their Afe meeting eting monday county commissioners met monday nov 20 1911 full board and county clerk hyrum 0 pack in attendance the committee of the whole reported that they had met with the citizens of layton precinct who are directly interested in the building of a viaduct over the 0 S L track where said railroad companas comp anys new track crossness cros sess the public highway which runs north and south on on the east side of section 13 tp 4 N R 2 west S L al and that said citizens would not consent to the closing 13 of the highway and accepting another easement in lieu thereof as heretofore proposed by the engineer of the 0 S L ry co but that the interested parties were unanimously opposed to making the change and they were in favor of reque requesting the railroad company to build a viaduct over said highway the report was accepted and the clerk instructed to wr write ate engineer t B F knowlton informing him of the above conclusions the committee of the whole further reported that they biad had met with residents of layton regarding the closing of the public highway for a short distance which runs southward from gentile street near the 0 S ix ry co s depot in layton as heretofore petitioned by R W adams and others and that said layton residents were all in favor of making the change the report ras accepted and it was ordered that the petition be granted and the said highway is hereby ordered closed corn com cok stated that M H and L E ellison of layton had proposed to donate sufficient land for a sidewalk along the south side of gentile street in in front of their premises if the county would pay for having the trees removed reni oved from the highway in that locality referred to corn com whitesides with power to act corn com ford reported that the committee appointed to investigate the alleged nuisance in in the south end of OF the county caused by the salt lake city gravity sewer had bad made the necessary investigation and after conferring with the attorney general of the state they were of the opinion that it would be better to let the matter rest until the now new board of commissioners of salt lake city come into il office the first of the year the recommendation men dation clation was adopted an appropriation of ta 7 a month was mide made toi to edward brampton on account of corn com ford was appointed a committee to ascertain for what price water in some irrigation company in the south end of the county to lad be used for road sprinkling purposes could be secured adjourned to dec ath |
