The conductors on the Vtah Southern South-ern trains have several times lately been assaulted it nil abused by porsons who persist in riding, but who refuse to pay the fare. When the conductor con-ductor told the man he must pay his fare or leave the train, the latter presented pre-sented a pistol and said he would do neither. Sane of the passengers assisted as-sisted the conductor to secure the ruffian who w;is brought to this city and lodged in jail to await a trial. m |
